My sweet chickadee!!!!!!!

In this household we are avid fans of Tex Avery cartoons and one of our favourite lines are "ooh my sweet chickadee let me take you away from here".............
sooooo last night we had a BBQ on the balcony with a friend who has come to visit from Italy....we gorged on spicy chicken wings ala Irini while reciting the lines from Tex Avery (hilarious but I suppose you would have to have been there!!!!!!!!) we also had tabbouleh ala Irini and for dessert Noni Eleni's favourite lemon cheesecake which this time I added chunks of pineapple then strawberry syrup over the top.I can tell you that within half an hour of devouring our feast we were already on our way to Narnia...mind you all I could think of was who can I bribe to clean up this mess...and guess what NO ONE they were all half asleep!!!!!!!!
Anyway 2 more days of camp left then "poof" there goes my free time!! I will have to juggle C3 and work (I work at home for those who do not know)..I am not looking forward to it as i have plenty of work waiting for me so i have been told by the boss....we have a meeting this afternoon I am looking forward to it but not what i will have to take home..........I think I digress.........
So i have taken advantage of my free time of late and have scrapped my little heart out..
i made another bag for a very dear friend (sounds like she has passed away!! NOOO knock on wood)

I am discovering the joy of lots of layers..also made my own glitter brads..just stick the head of a large boring brad into some 'glossy accents' glue then sprinkle glitter to your hearts content. I also did some hand stitching...haven't saved enough money for a sewing machine yet!!

I finally finished C3's 6th bday album the cover is the base of his birhtday cake (I kept the cardboard tray/plate we bought it on...I cleaned it with a damp cloth let it dry then covered it with Basic Grey paper of course!!.........some foam thickers and stuck an aeroplane from his cake.

the girls...sisters of invited chums.....

getting ready for cake and food...........I have to say again that i have been inspired by this lady who does incredible 3D work so i went to town with foam pads (which i make my self...I cut a strip of foam from those sheets you can buy in a pack..for those of you living in Athens..then I pass it through my Xyron sticker machine twice so that it is sticky on both sides...I call this scrapping on a budget!) i think the 3D look is great for kids albums........

The Airport cake...........

Ohhhhmy baby blowing out his 6th birhtday candles......sniff

There was total silence..........chocolate cake, gooey chocolate cake.....

More layering with embossed cirlces..I have fallen in love with the Lime Rickey Whirly stamps
also added some shrink plastic, buttons etc you can see it all.......

Again..... simple..... layering and lots of bling...for those of you who do not know C3 calls his godmother Noni, in Greek it is Nona but when he was a year old he couldn't get round his tongue so he called her Noni...and it has stuck ever since.............

That's it they were fun to make...... simple but colourful pages...
later...................
