bling Jewel Craft Oriental Greeting Jumbo
and the 2 hoarded items are the
Huge  glittery blingy butterfly from Jumbo (again)
and the 3 strips behind the butterfly from Making memories called Paper Reverie Brun Antique!

Let's get shabby.......

I have been wanting to take part in these challenges for ages
I am a huge fan of Mandy's art  you could say I am a stalker
when I am in a rut I turn to her blog for inspiration
Mandy is the essence of a true scrapbooker (my humble opinion)
so I wanted to take part in her challenges over at

Guest designing for Bird Is the Word!!

I am a little late in posting this but our little man turned
9
yesterday 


and I have been organising all sorts of things for the weekend
plus yesterdays celebration with family!!

So on to scrappy stuff
Here is my layout as guest designer over at

and how from a young age it was difficult to get a smile out of her!!

and here is what I came up with a card for my mum!!!

The chipboard cage was painted with Distress crackle paint aged mahogany
I didnt like how it looked so I gave it a layer of Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze Flirty
As for the bird I started off with a layers of Distress Crackle paint tattered Straw again I did not like the colour so I misted it with Tattered Angels glimmer mist chalkboard Apricot Nectar
and for the branch Distress crackle paint brushed corduroy
