7 day heat wave + no functional computer = delay in posting my layout for Bird Is The Word!

so let me show you my DT  layout for

the word for this fortnight is 

'Reach'

okay so the title of the layout seems a little dyslexic

but it reads

Your dreams are within REACH

Well its been a while since I have been able to make a layout for 

Get Creative

I finally got my act together

Get Creative this month is winding down for the summer months

there will only be 2 challenges this month One for layouts and the other for cards

the same will happen in August

this is only temporary as it is summer here in Greece and generally life slows down

We wont be going any where I am  afraid

so hopefully that will mean lots more scrapping!!

Anyway

the problem with my laptop has been solved

basically has to do with the temperature of the machine it self

I have 3 fans blowing on it at the moment only because I am sitting in the hottest room in the house my craft/office!

Butterflies are fussy cut from Basic Grey pattern paper ambrosia

I added my white and cream mists and used various masks (thank you Cathy)

the dress form is from Imaginarium designs

the background stamp is Glitz Designs

an orange doily from my stash

and the embellishments the orange crochet star flower and the dusty pink thread spiral are hand made by me I sell similar in my new Etsy Shop

Design Team Call!

Design Team Call!

As you may all know I am on the design team of 

Use It Tuesday 

and my term is coming to an end, so the girls are having a design team call!!!!

here is what you need to know.....

Since we only play the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, we don't have a challenge today but we do have something fun to post!  We are having an Open Design Team Call!  Please read below for all of the details! 

Another Design Team term is coming to an end here at Use It Tuesday and we are looking for a new team of creative crafters to inspire us to new stash-using levels.

This will be Use It Tuesday's 3rd Design Team call and we are looking for people with all experience levels.

Term: July 1 to December 31, 2012

Requirements:

- have an online gallery and/or a blog

- if you have a blog, you need to be a follower of Use It Tuesday to apply :)

- have a Facebook account or a willingness to make one

- be able to work with deadlines

- make and post 2 inspiration projects per month

- comment on players’ projects

- be a team player

- have a positive attitude

Neglect and new beginnings whilst the sun shines!!!!!

Okay I admit I have neglected this blog 

and have not come round to your blogs for a week now

 but there is a perfectly good reason

I opened up an etsy shop called

Get Creative Embellishments

It all began with my love of threads and not being able to sit still

so I started playing around with a crochet hook

I admit I am not a whiz but I can manage some simple motifs

what makes these embellishments special 

is that I have used beautiful silk and cotton threads 

in all sorts of glorious colours 

and have added some bling or glittery roses to them

 just to make then shine

so please come and take a look 

I will continue to upload all day
