Growing up too fast!

Now this layout is for August 1st challenge over at the Studio

we had to mist using masks

I misted yellow/lemon on the background

using pattern paper

as the mask

then misted Green and red over the mask

make sense??

This is a not very good pic of C3 on his

on his 7th birthday

he just looks older than he is

my baby.......

In other news I was very lucky............

More double dating.....

all because I took my sweet time in uploading some challenges....

well anyway my first double date as I call them....

(Of course I do not know if I will be disqualified for it)

but here goes anyway........

this is what I came up with..............

Some altering was needed...

So I misted and misted..........

then haphazardly sanded/distressed..................

then added crackle medium to a cute little box which i had lying around.

I had no idea what I was going to use it for then Aha!!

For my faux rings which I adore the bolder more theatrical the better!!!!

Thus I embossed some chipboard butterflies added some rubons and pearls to the box and viola!

No not with my hubby......

where I had to use old with new stash

so I busted out my ever beloved

Hambly papers (old) teamed with (old) ribbons

store bought I think. The (new) products are

the clouds from October Afternoon

and some new AC thickers

Paris................

how I saw it ( this time ).......

I love Paris.......

this time I was overwhelmed by

the humidity

YUK.......

must be old age!!...

so here are snap shots of what

Paris.......

Breakfast of course....

many hours were spent here

Paris has a brilliant Metro system

the trains are fast

and on time

you have to walk

you get the idea

Okay so one

that caught my eye.

Far away from home.....

This layout is for the World cup extra challenge on the Studio challenge blog.......

We were to use Zakumi (the mascot for the World Cup) as our muse........

I used his colours as they remind me of the colours of Australia...............

where I was born and grew up............

and where my parents and brother live........

plus I always wanted to scrap this photo of my parents whom I miss very much...

The picket fence and tree are chipboard die cuts from Sfragidomania..............

which I just dressed with paper................

Friendships.....

These two make me so happy when they are together.......

They fight.....

They call each other names....

They sulk.......

They jump up for joy just hearing each others names...

They hug each other......

They never want to part......

They plan to buy houses next door to each other....

They plan to have their children play together....

They are friends............
