Tearful goodblye.........

Today was C3's official last day of kindergarten....I was emotional but I did not cry I cried on Friday when they held their end of year show, they recited their poems about the end of school and the lazy days of summer, they danced (well sort of jigging about here and there crashing into each other) it was an emotional time.
We can breathe easy now as we know where he will be starting 1st grade.
All we have to concentrate on now is making sure we set the alarm every night so we can get up early enough the next morning to get to day camp on time!!

How to plan a bank robbery!

So today was registration day at C3's new school..............thus the title to this post!!!!!!!!!!
I blew a cool 200euro on the bare minimum school uniform...ouch I know but he is going to look so cute....I am a fan of uniforms probably because I wore one as a kid from kindergarten right through to last year of highschool.
I say bare minimum because who knows how much he will grow this summer September is 2 and a half months away...plenty of time for him to grow even more.
I call him the stick man now as he is just weighing in at 20kilos and at 122cm.... he is like a stick long and skinny.
There has been a lot of running around to doctors and banks etc for the infamous registration but that is all over now and maybe I can concentrate on something more artistic.

Dedicated to Zeffy!!

If you are reading this Zeffy this post is for you!!
A couple of weeks ago at a get together for coffee with some fellow scrappers, Zeffy (fellow scrapper) turned to me and in a very stern voice said "when are you going to update your blog??" I was pleasantly surprised...so people do read my blog!! 'well I'll be' this is an Aussie-ism try saying it with an nasal Australian accent !!!
A lot obviously has happened since I last posted for example lots of birthdays..the month of May is a very 'expensive one' due to the amount of money spent of gifts!
Amongst all the other things that have been happening I have managed to scrap. I am still taking a photo a day and scrapping that.
I didn't show you any of the boxes I made for Christians kindergarten teachers I filled them with chocolate eggs and gave them as gifts for Easter...I was very proud of them they were lots of fun to make.......so here follows what i have been up to........









































































































This little mini was made for a little girl I know I call her the 'Rose boubou' as she is always dressed in pink and unfortunately the poor thing has a terrible rash on her cheeks that make her look red and pink all the time.......even with the rash she is the cutest little girl I have seen.

Oh nearly forgot we had a some really good news last week........Christian got into the private school we wanted.....so if you hear of a series of bank robberies in the Athens area you will know it is G and I doing a Bonnie and Clyde every night so we can pay for the school fees...........

Happy Birthday Sweet boy of mine

I still can't believe that 6 years ago today I gave birth to this sweet baby boy. The memory of holding you in my arms for the first time is still crystal clear, I held you in my arms with tears rolling down my cheeks singing happy birthday...it was not till later that the nurses told me they were moved because no one had ever sang happy birthday to their new born before. It just seemed natural to me as it was you day of birth no other song seemed appropriate!!












Now he is six years old...why do they grow up so fast? I tell my self every day that i should treasure every moment even the tantrums, fights and murderess threats as they are moments never to return (only through scrap booking LOL).















Be well baby boy I will always be with you no matter how far away your wings take you.....you are my heart and my soul...............I love you.......Happy Birthday..........

Temperature rising part 2..........

I cannot believe it has been so long since I last blogged well things have not changed much......C3 has been home now for nearly 3 weeks...unbelievable he has been sick on and off........ he went back to school at some point but started throwing unbelievably high temps again so i have kept him home.
His paed said that it is the flu that keeps coming back......great, unfortunately there are a lot of working parents who send their children to school with a high fever.........you think that the school could offer some service for these parents especially during the winter months when most of the children get sick.
Of course this is just a logical practical thought it would never work in a country that revels in red tape and frappe!!!
Sorry being a little bitter there.........working parents get a raw deal in this country!!!
Enough......of course with C3 being ill all the time I too have caught variuous bugs the latest has my ears and throat on fire...it's better today thankfully.
I have not scrapped but i have slowly downsized a lot of supplies. I have been brutal with things like stickers...I always wonder what was going through my mind when I bought them..they are pretty enough but i will never use them.....any one want them????????? some have been taken out of their packaging so i am giving them away for less than half the price i bought them at..if anyone is interested leave me a comment or email me so i can send you a pic.

Temperature rising....................

Here it is in bullet points.....

• woke up to a crying child this morning with a 40degree celcius temp!!! talk about a morning freak out
• I am preparing to teach a scrapbooking class to Christian's kindergarten class...get them when they are young I say!!!!!
• Still checking out private schools as we have ruled out the public school system entirely even for the primary school.....we have decided to invest in his education than in a house...of course nothing is written in stone.
• had the most action packed...not to forget boozy weekend in a long time!!!
• Ive had so much alcohol since Friday night that I feel strange holding a coffee cup instead of a wine glass!!!!!!!!
• I haven't scrapped in ages and I am just about climbing the walls
• I have a new tea pot and I am in love......with the tea pot that is!!
• I have a new perfume..........I think i am in love with that too.......Mugler cologne.....I smell like spring when i wear it........
• we went to the children's museum in Plaka...for all of you who live in Athens and have young children you must go it is definitely worth it...we couldn't get Christian to leave even when i bribed with the never fail chocolate bribe.
• I dressed up as a witch for carnival............I will post some pics soon
